What started as a nice quiet day on Brierley Cottages, Sutton-in-Ashfield, quickly became a nightmare when the burglars broke in. Luckily, the Chihuahua reunited with his family this week.
The horrible even started when burglars smashed a woman’s windows and broke into her house. Detectives immediately appealed for witnesses, so they could find the culprit that caused all this turmoil.
Following the events, the authorities believed that the Chihuahua escaped his home. That was somewhere around 3 a.m. when the stuff went down. The officers also believe that the burglars broke several ornaments while attempting to steal valuables.
Luckily, they found the pup by a dog warden nearby. The officials worked closely with the warden to ensure that they could return the Chihuahua safely to his family.
The Chief Inspector of the case, Amy-Styles-Jones, stated Westbridgfordwire. She said, “While we currently believe the animal escaped in fear rather than being stolen, as a dog owner myself, I can understand how upsetting it would be for your dog to go missing.”
“I’m pleased that the officers quickly found and returned him, thanks to their swift action. As our response to this distressing incident shows, our officers will do everything they can to help. They will show their commitment to serving the public in the best way possible.”
While the case is still open, the officials are confident that they will quickly resolve it while finding the culprits. Even though this Chihuahua reunited with her owners, many other offenders are still roaming on the streets.
That’s why we urge all of you to be careful and keep your pets within a close watch.
